Add Loopback Network Adapter#
(1) Use Win + R to bring up "Run", enter hdwwiz
, and after confirming, start the new hardware wizard.
(2) Follow the wizard instructions, select Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)(M)

(3) Select the hardware type to install as Network Adapter
, choose the device driver manufacturer as Microsoft
, and the model as Microsoft KM-TEST Loopback Adapter
.
(4) Install according to the wizard and click finish.
Share Host Network#
(1) Open Control Panel -- Network and Internet -- Network Connections, find the newly created loopback adapter, which is Ethernet 8
on this host. Select the local network connection, and for WLAN, choose sharing in properties, check Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection (N)
, select the newly created loopback adapter Ethernet 8
, and save.
(2) After saving, an IP address 192.168.137.1
will be automatically assigned to the loopback adapter. Restart the adapter to make the configuration effective.
(3) Open the eNSP software, go to Cloud settings, create a port with binding information as UDP
and loopback adapter Ethernet 8 -- IP: 192.168.137.1
, and set the port mapping's incoming and outgoing port numbers, check the bidirectional channel, and click add.
(4) Start the network topology, set the host to DHCP, wait for the host to assign an IP, and use the ping command to verify if it connects to the external real network.
